Our Irish team pick out three bets from the Curragh on Saturday...
"War Command's Coventry form has been taking some flak; much of it is ill-deserved, it must be said, but even so he could prove vulnerable today."
We start with the listed race at 14:35. Expedition looked useful when making a winning debut back in May and is taken to maintain his unbeaten record in this five-furlong contest for juveniles. Come To Heel and Candy Apples can make a place.
In the Group 3 Flying Five Stakes 35 minutes later, the feeling is that British raiders Dutch Masterpiece and Hamza could have too much for the home team. Of the two, Dutch Masterpiece is marginally preferred, his winning record up to now of five-from-eight impressive and his handicap win from a BHA mark of 98 when last seen in June suggesting he can take this step up in class in his stride.
Finally, we look towards the Futurity Stakes at 16:20. Recently, War Command's Coventry form has been taking some flak; much of it is ill-deserved, it must be said, but even so he could prove vulnerable today. Instead, Mustajeeb is fancied to take another step forward and grab Group 2 honours on his third start. He won in fine style at Galway last month, looking a colt destined for better things, and two wins since from runner-up Friendship only adds to Mustajeeb's appeal today.
