The Irish 1000 Guineas is the highlight on Sunday but our Irish team have found three bets on the elsewhere on the card at the Curragh...
"If Rummaging is able to translate the improvement he showed on polytrack at the end of last year back on turf he could be the answer to a devilishly competitive handicap..."
Providing they go a good clip, which appears likely, Justification could be the answer. He didn't get the rub of the green in the Chester Cup last time and can resume his progress back on this more conventional track. The five-year-old is a lightly raced sort who landed a 1¾m Leopardstown handicap on return last month. He was badly hampered when last seen in the Chester Cup and the suspicion is that he remains capable of better still.
If Rummaging is able to translate the improvement he showed on polytrack at the end of last year back on turf he could be the answer to a devilishly competitive handicap. Battleroftheboyne and the selection's stablemate Via Ballycroy are feared most.
Manalapan showed enough on debut here to suggest a maiden win will be a formality but he failed to back that up next time and could be vulnerable to improvers here. Lake Nova, Magical Steps and Pearl Turn all fall into that category, and marginal preference is for Lake Nova who probably bumped into a useful sort on debut at Naas.
