The Timeform Irish team aim to continue their fine run of form with three selections at Naas this evening...

Tonight's card starts with a five-furlong juvenile sprint (17:45), and whilst such contests can prove difficult to solve, Spinacre looks of definite interest. The Kevin Prendergast-trained filly shaped as if in need of the experience when sixth in a maiden won by Sendmylovetorose at Navan on her debut last month, and was not given a hard time once her winning chance had gone. The fact she was sent off a short-priced favourite that day suggests she is highly thought of by connections, and she is expected to have learned plenty from that initial experience.
The maiden at 18:50 looks a competitive little affair, with a number of the participants having already shown fair form in defeat, but Edward Lynam's yard are in decent heart at present and Regal Power looks the one to side with. Whilst it is probably fair to say that Regal Power will not reach the dizzy heights of her half-brother Sole Power, she showed improved form when chasing home Alkazim in a course and distance maiden on her penultimate outing. Her last run is easily excused, as her stamina was seemingly stretched by the seven-furlong trip, and a bold bid is expected this evening.
Aidan O'Brien fires two arrows at the minor event over one-mile at 19:55 tonight and, on jockey bookings, it would appear that Learn is considered to be the stable first-string. However, whilst Learn is again expected to run well, it is Tenth Star that appeals as the most likely winner. A listed winner as a juvenile, Tenth Star kept some good company last year, rounding off his campaign when second to Daddy Long Legs in the Royal Lodge Stakes as Asccot. His reappearance was disappointing but he was entitled to need the outing and, if his entries over the next couple of months are to be considered realistic targets, he should be up to taking this.
