Timeform's Irish team suggest three bets on Wexford's card...
Mimi And Bow (18:30) went down narrowly to Akatara in handicap company at Kilbeggan latest and can strike now. The seven-year-old was a point winner who was runner-up in 2¾m Thurles maiden hurdle in January. Hadn't built on that until much improved aforementioned effort, and she looks to hold leading claims here.
The 19:00 can quickly be whittled down to just a handful of realistic contenders and the nod goes to News Show who is open to more improvement than most. Pennys Tune can't be ruled out on her first start for a new yard and Atlas Peak is another to consider. News Show was a fairly useful performer on Flat for David Simcock and put up easily her best effort over hurdles when third to Norah Starr at Ballinrobe last month; it is interesting that Barry Geraghty retains the ride.
Real Appeal (19:30) showed improved form at Clonmel on Friday and if he can reproduce that this time, he's going to be hard to beat. Sweetheart Susan and Hurricane Jojo look best of the rest in a weak race. Real Appeal finished fourth in 2¼m maiden hurdle at Thurles in November and turned in a career-best performance when second at Clonmel on Friday. Clearly he needs to repeat that to win but it isn't out of the question and he looks to hold solid claims.
