There's mixed action from Roscommon on Monday

Roscommon is the venue for Monday's Irish action.

"With Cross Appeal now out of the handicap chase at 16:35 the way looks clear for Fever Pitch."

The 14:35 is a competitive, open handicap in which the vote is in favour of the consistent Have A Nice Day who ran right up to his best when second over this C&D last time and looks sure to be bang there again. Toccata Blue and Strait Of Zazibar head the dangers.

Similarly competitive is the 15:35 over 12 furlongs. The verdict this time goes the way of Mr Snagsby, who wasn't seen to best effect on his first try at this trip last time and now eases in grade. Shadagann and Sharjah are fancied to fill the places, in that order.

With Cross Appeal now out of the handicap chase at 16:35 the way looks clear for Fever Pitch. He has enjoyed a productive summer, winning at Kilbeggan before finishing third in the Munster National there. If he's able to come back to that sort of form returning from a short break he ought to take plenty of beating.
