The Leopardstown Christmas Festival continues on Monday and Timeform have identified three horse worth backing.
Blazer shaped well on his first start for Willie Mullins when finishing a close-up third at Punchestown over two miles, and he looks likely to improve with that initial experience under his belt.
Leopardstown 12:45 - Childrens List
Ruby Walsh may have opted to ride stable companion Valyssa Monterg, but Childrens List still makes plenty of appeal in this competitive handicap hurdle. Childrens List has developed into a useful hurdler and he ran well when finishing fourth at Navan last time, shaping well in a race which didn't get to the bottom of him. He did at least show that soft ground holds no fears and he is still open to a spot of improvement when the emphasis is on stamina.
Leopardstown 13:20 - Blazer
Blazer shaped well on his first start for Willie Mullins when finishing a close-up third at Punchestown over two miles, and he looks likely to improve with that initial experience under his belt. Blazer was pushed along three from home at Punchestown but stayed on well after the last, just failing to overhaul the front pair, and he is sure to appreciate this step up in trip. Chasing debutant Tell Us More is an exciting prospect but Blazer can put his generous four-year-old allowance to good use and is expected to prove too strong.
Leopardstown 14:30 - Elusive Ivy
Elusive Ivy has gone up 3 lb in the weights for finishing second at Fairyhouse last time, but she still appeals as a well-handicapped mare and may benefit from Robbie Power replacing a 7-lb claimer in the saddle. Elusive Ivy did well to win at Galway on her penultimate start, overcoming traffic problems, and she produced an even better effort in defeat at Fairyhouse, again meeting some trouble in running. Elusive Ivy is still relatively unexposed as a handicap hurdler and is well worth siding with.
