The Timeform Irish team highlight three more SmartPlays for tonight's meeting at Cork....
Way Up In The Air travelled well for a long way during those contests, suggesting she would improve when faced with better ground...
First up is Raise The Beat who makes his hurdling debut in the 17:00 this evening. The Colm Murphy-trained gelding missed the whole of last season but had previously looked an exciting prospect when landing bumpers at Down Royal and Naas in 2010/11. He has not been seen since shaping as if amiss in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham later that season, but his yard are very capable of readying one after an absence and Raise The Beat is expected to win if retaining most of his ability.
Next up is Cry For The Moon who is a consistent handicapper on the Flat and finished second in the Cesarewith at the Curragh in October. He was switched back to hurdles earlier this month and duly took advantage of a lenient-looking mark to readily land a two-and-a-half-mile event at Gowran. The handicapper has taken few chances following that effort, but Cry For The Moon seemed to have plenty in hand that day and, with further progress likely, he looks capable of following up.
Way Up In The Air lines up in the concluding bumper having failed to win from four previous outings. However, that doesn't tell the full story as while she failed to progress in three subsequent efforts having shaped well over course and distance when third on her debut in Novemberon, she's run as if set to improve when faced with better ground. She looks sure to make a bold bid this evening.
