Timeform pick out three bets from Kilbeggan's meeting on Friday evening...
As De Ferbet lines up for Willie Mullins and Bryan Cooper and one would hope third time does indeed prove to be the charm...
18:55 Kilbeggan - Damefirth
Damefirth was successful in a C&D maiden hurdle on this card last year, getting the better of Powder Hound by four and a half lengths in ready fashion. Having scored over fences last month, it is intriguing that connections revert to the smaller obstacles with Damefirth, and she gets the nod over My Manekineko, who might improve for the switch to handicaps.
19:55 Kilbeggan - As de Ferbet
As De Ferbet lines up for Willie Mullins and Bryan Cooper and one would hope third time does indeed prove to be the charm. Following an encouraging chasing bow at Thurles, As de Ferbet arguably should have beaten The Job Is Right (subsequently placed in the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival) at Punchestown on New Year's Eve having travelled best and looked in control until producing a sluggish leap at the last. A race of this nature looks well within his grasp and he should get off the mark over fences.
21:00 Kilbeggan - Sundowner
A chance is taken on the unraced Sundowner whose dam produced the useful Mystical Girl who was a winner over a mile for Mark Johnston. The booking of Nina Carberry is an obvious positive for Sundowner as she boasts a 33% win record in bumpers at Kilbeggan over the last five seasons and has teamed up to good effect with Noel Meade in the past. Willie Mullins' newcomer Ciandarragh is an obvious danger, but we'll side with the well-bred Sundowner.
