There's racing at Down Royal on Friday and Timeform have identified the three best bets.

Bumper winner Little Mitch shaped really when finishing runner-up on her hurdling bow at Roscommon, travelling like the winner for much of the way before being collared in the dying strides.

Down Royal 16:20 - Tudor City

The lightly-raced Tudor City landed something of a gamble when staying on strongly to win a competitive Flat handicap at Galway and he looks an obvious player on his first start over hurdles. That race took place over an extended mile, but Tudor City is related to some national hunt performers and is likely to have enough stamina to do well in this sphere. He can make a winning start under Ruby Walsh.

Down Royal 18:00 - Carlyan

Carlyan would have given the winner plenty to think about at Downpatrick last time had she not made a bad error at the final flight, but it was still a career-best effort nevertheless and she's clearly on a workable mark at present. The excellent David Mullins has been booked and can steer Carlyan to an overdue victory.

Down Royal 18:30 - Little Mitch

Bumper winner Little Mitch shaped really when finishing runner-up on her hurdling bow at Roscommon, travelling like the winner for much of the way before being collared in the dying strides. Little Mitch already sets the standard on form and is entitled to improve upon that initial effort at Roscommon, so she should prove difficult to beat.
