Timeform suggest three bets at the Curragh this afternoon...
"It may be worth chancing Civil War on his third start of the campaign from a reduced mark given that he beat a couple of next-time-out winners at Dundalk last autumn..."
The unexposed Great Soprano is likely up to winning a race from this mark, whilst Tylery Wonder has been in good nick of late, but Invincible Ridge has been shaping up well and looks the one to be with in the 14:45. The five-year-old, trained by Darren Bunyan, finished second off a higher mark at Fairyhouse last summer and, though he lost his way later that year, he shaped as though a return to his best was imminent over C&D last time and can go close if building upon that.
Winning Impact (15:45) is now down to a mark from which he is capable and might be worth chancing after shaping quite well on his return from a break last month. Military Advice will go close if he can recapture anything like his juvenile form after 3 months off, while Diamond Daze ran well here at the weekend and could be good for a place again.
Ancient Sands has a welter burden to carry, though it's been over 2 years since he last finished out of the frame, so he has to be considered. Lonan remains unexposed at this trip, and should continue his run of good efforts, but it may be worth chancing Civil War (16:15) on his third start of the campaign from a reduced mark given that he beat a couple of next-time-out winners at Dundalk last autumn. Admittedly he has a bit to prove after a pair of poor recent efforts but the booking of Joseph O'Brien catches the eye and he could go well at a decent price.
