Brendan Bracken created a good impression when bolting up at Galway in July and he confirmed that he hadn't been flattered when winning a Group 3 at the Curragh last month. He sets the standard in the listed race at 16:20 this afternoon. Brendan Bracken impressed with his attitude under pressure at the Curragh, digging deep to fend off a pair of persistent challengers, and a repeat effort would make him extremely difficult to beat. A largely progressive type, Brendan Bracken makes the greatest appeal by a considerable margin.

Butterfly Dancer emerged with plenty of credit when third over seven furlongs at Dundalk last time and holds strong claims in the nursery at 16:55. Butterfly Dancer was held up in the early stages and still had plenty to do as they turned for home, but she finished to great effect, making good headway and taking the eye in no uncertain terms. She can build on that solid effort - her first in handicap company, incidentally - and the step up in trip today will suit.

It is a slight concern that Shadagann hasn't been seen since a highly-encouraging runner-up effort behind Trading Leather at Gowran Park last year, but, with the promise of that effort in mind, he should be good enough to land the maiden at 17:55. Shadagann took the eye in appearance last year, appealing as a useful-looking colt, and he could be open to substantial progress, making him of obvious appeal in this event.
