Timeform provide the three best bets at Clonmel on Thursday...
"...this point winner can make a successful start over hurdles..."
Timeform on Ard Abhainn
Ard Abhainn - 13:00 Clonmel
The Gordon Elliott-trained Ard Abhainn makes obvious appeal on her hurdles debut after showing fairly useful form in bumpers. She stayed on well to win on her debut at Punchestown in May and again shaped as if a stiffer test would suit when finishing fourth in a listed event at Gowran last time. The booking of Davy Russell is a positive, the step up in trip will be to her advantage and this point winner can make a successful start over hurdles for her leading yard.
Kavanaghs Corner - 15:45 Clonmel
Kavanaghs Corner shaped better than the bare result when finishing third here on his first start for Henry de Bromhead. He raced handily on that occasion before fading in the style of a horse who just needed the run on his first outing for seven months. That was an eye-catching performance and he should come on nicely with that effort under his belt.
Robin Gold - 16:15 Clonmel
Robin Gold showed much improved form to win a 17-runner handicap at Thurles in decent style last week and she can defy a penalty. She was well supported to strike on her return from a break and always looked to be holding on, despite hanging left. Patrick Mullins takes over in the saddle and she can follow up.
