Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh have a strong chance in the opener on Tuesday
Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh have a strong chance in the opener on Tuesday

It's day two of the Galway Festival on Tuesday evening, and Timeform have provided their three best bets for the action...

"He arguably possesses more scope for improvement than Steps To Freedom, who has been out of sorts on the Flat recently..."

Galway 17:15 - Long Dog

Long Dog confirmed the promise of his Fairyhouse hurdles debut last November, when landing the odds at Sligo earlier this month. With plenty of scope for further improvement, he is taken to follow-up in the opener. There are a number of promising types in opposition however, with Solatentif, Adimelo and Three Stars all of interest.

Galway 17:45 - Hash Brown

Hash Brown reached a fair level over hurdles, and shaped encouragingly when runner-up on chase debut at Limerick recently. He arguably possesses more scope for improvement than Steps To Freedom, who has been out of sorts on the Flat recently, so he is taken to get the better of that rival. Chase debutants Guitar Pete and Waaheb look most interesting of the remainder.

Galway 18:50 - Stay De Night

Stay De Night improved again in listed company on his return over a trip that may be a little on the sharp side now, so further improvement can be expected up in distance here, and he looks to have solid claims in a very competitive handicap. Unsinkable was just caught in the final strides over 10f last time, so the drop in trip may suit and he looks a big danger, along with last years third Baraweez.
