16:05 - RAILPORT DOLLY (9) produced one of her better recent efforts when third here last time, keeping going well after making the running to be beaten only two and a half lengths. She is 1 lb lower here and could be worth chancing in a race where most of the opposition arrive out of sorts. Luna Magic was thriving during the summer and can play a hand if bouncing back from a couple of below-par efforts, while Restive is another to consider if reproducing some of his recent form on the fibresand at Southwell.
16:40 - HIDDEN DEPTHS (6) was well held here nine days ago on his return from a spell over hurdles, but it wasn't long ago that he was running to a fair level in all-weather handicaps and this looks an excellent opportunity for him to get off the mark now switching to a seller, with his six rivals all having plenty to find on Timeform's weight-adjusted ratings. Doctor Jazz and Never A Word can battle it out for the minor honours.
17:10 - BAHUTA ACHA (2) has continued to give a good account since winning over C&D in early-November, notably filling the runner-up spot on his last two starts (also over C&D) which came only three days apart. David Loughnane's charge is 3 lb higher here than when going down by a length and a quarter on the most recent occasion, but he has won from higher still in the past and remains one to keep onside in his current mood. The three-year-old True Belief and Nampara are others with claims.
17:40 - AUGUSTUS CAESAR (2) appeared to have been handed a lenient opening mark and didn't need to improve to open his account at Lingfield last time, making all the running to beat a next-time-out winner in comfortable fashion. He remains potentially well treated from a BHA mark of 77, with the prospect of even better to come, and there is no reason why he shouldn't mount a bold follow-up bid for the prolific David O'Meara/Daniel Tudhope combination. Astrozone is feared most ahead of Silver Start.
18:10 - UNCLE SWAYZE (8) made a promising start to his career when fifth at Kempton in October, catching the eye by the end with his strong finish (beaten less than three lengths). He looks to sure to improve with that experience under his belt, especially now going up in trip, and rates a solid favourite for what doesn't look a deep contest of its type. Punting brings a similar profile into the race and could be the one to give the selection most to do.
18:40 - DIVINE CONNECTION (2) could be the way to go in this concluding leg of the Placepot, having finished in the first four in each of her last three starts. She wasn't seen to best effect, either, when finishing fourth at Kempton last time (not ideally placed) and a repeat of that form could well suffice here. Nikolayeva is related to plenty of winners and should prove capable of better than she has shown so far in first-time cheekpieces, while Isobar Wind is another who might have a say in proceedings for the in-form David Evans yard.
19:10 - ROYAL STAR (6) has yet to fulfil her early promise, but she should be spot on fitness-wise with her return to action 12 days ago under her belt and looks the one to beat in receipt of weight all round. Godhead made a winning start at Kempton recently and is expected to build on that.
19:40 - CALIN'S LAD (1) was well prepared on the back of six months off when successful at Kempton on Wednesday, and with this trip sure to be within range, his follow-up claims appear to be bright under a penalty. A Place To Dream and Steal The Scene look the pick of the opposition unless there's strong support for Lappet.
