Timeform on El Presente
12:20 - I'M WISER NOW (2) placed in all three of his starts in bumpers and has steadily improved over hurdles since unseating on his debut over obstacles in May. He was unlucky to bump into a couple of useful prospects at Wetherby last month and is interesting on his first start in handicaps. Fergal O'Brien has his string in red-hot form and his charge should have more to offer.
12:55 - OUTONPATROL (11) left the form of her hurdling debut well behind when getting the hang of things at Plumpton last month, finishing runner-up. It is still early days for Alan King's mare and, with more improvement anticipated, she looks a leading player here.
13:30 - EL PRESENTE (6) made an encouraging start over fences when fourth in a Huntingdon novice on his chase debut last month. The form of that race has been working out well and an opening mark of 124 looks like a lenient one. He holds outstanding claims.
14:05 - SCARAMANGA (1) showed useful form on the Flat and made a sound start over hurdles last season for Paul Nicholls, landing a Taunton maiden in March before finishing runner-up in a competitive handicap at Ascot. He was beaten a long way on his reappearance in October, but he likely found the underfoot conditions against him and he should put up a better showing on this sounder surface.
14:40 - PHOENIX ROCK (2) has been on an upward curve all season and showed further improvement to open her account at Worcester in September. Jonjo O'Neill's mare followed that up with a good third at Huntingdon, shaping as if she is still in good form, and she could have another prize in her if handling this step up in trip.
15:15 - DUC KAUTO (9) made a successful debut over fences here in October on his reappearance/ first start since undergoing a breathing operation. He jumped soundly throughout on his chasing debut and, with this longer trip expected to be ideal, he can give the in-form Colin Tizzard another winner.
15:50 - In a race with very little form to go on, the eye is immediately drawn towards DUC DE BOURBON (3), who represents Paul Nicholls and J.P McManus. Nicholls tends to do particularly well with bumper debutants and is in flying form at the minute, so Duc de Bourbon is of obvious interest.
