Today's Horse Racing Tips: Kirby and Murphy can hit the target at Windsor

Windsor Monday night racing
Alan's two selections are in action at Windsor on Monday evening

The new week means it's a return to the tipping chair for Alan Dudman, who highlights two to back from the early evening card at Windsor....

"The soft ground might have caught her out, and the 1m certainly did - so the drop back to 7f is a big plus."

Back Arabic Charm @ 4.216/5 in the 18:00 at Windsor

Betsey can trot to victory for red hot O'Meara

17:00 Windsor - Back Betsey Trotter @ BSP

Betsey Trotter was a remarkable success story from last season. From humble beginnings in a Catterick seller, and with the addition of headgear, she enjoyed a prolific campaign for David O'Meara. She won four times and placed in a couple - and she improved 20lb in the process.

Tonight's challenge is the 0-85 fillies' handicap at Windsor, as this is most certainly her level. She's taking a drop in class following her run last time in a stronger race at Haydock.

However, one fundamental factor here could be the ground.

She has under-performed in two runs this season, but both have been in soft conditions. This 5yo is a quick ground performer and will enjoy a return to a sounder surface. The 11/1 price on the Sportsbook was effectively writing her off in this race, but I think she has a better chance than that and she certainly looks overpriced.

Her trainer enjoyed a rather good weekend, and Betsey Trotter can add to the prize money purse back home with a return to form with Adam Kirby on board.

Charm looks the standout bet for Murphy

18:00 Windsor - Back Arabic Charm @ 4.216/5

My second bet of the day runs in the 18:00 maiden, and I am looking forward to seeing how the Saeed bin Suroor-trained filly Arabic Charm gets on with quicker ground.

I was quite taken with her debut at Haydock and I've taken a positive view of that contest over 1m. The second from that race Grand Rumore was the favourite last night at 3.8514/5 ahead of the selection at 4.216/5, so there isn't too much between the pair.

Arabic Charm had a poor draw and raced with no cover, and she had to come from a lot further back as the winner, second and third were all up with the pace (the winner made all).

She eventually finished fourth, but I liked the way she made up ground with 3f to go, as she was still swinging away. The soft ground might have caught her out, and the 1m certainly did - so the drop back to 7f is a big plus.

Drawn on the inside tonight with Oisin Murphy on board, she looks a fair bet. And not many ride Windsor better than Murphy.
