Mahrajaan can provide William Haggas with yet another winner on the Knavesmire.
"...he can win again before having his sights raised further..."
Timeform on Mahrajaan
NAP: Mahrajaan ahead of the handicapper
Mahrajaan is from an excellent family and is firmly on the progressive path now, completing a hat-trick on handicap debut at Hamilton in August with plenty in hand. That victory was even more impressive as he met some trouble in running, getting badly hampered on the inner around a furlong out, but showing a smart turn of foot once switched out into the clear. A subsequent 10 lb rise in the weights seems more than fair and he can win again before having his sights raised further.
NEXT BEST: Korker can progress again
Korker is still improving judged by his latest effort at Haydock where he made a successful handicap debut. He had been highly tried previously, but he found life much easier, proving better than ever to record a third win of the year. He came clear of the remainder with a stablemate on that occasion and the form looks solid, so he makes plenty of appeal from a 4 lb higher mark with his useful apprentice taking 3 lb off.
EACH WAY: Take advantage of the extra places with Billhilly
Billhilly has been a real success story for this yard this year, recording his fifth success at Lingfield in August. He was undone by trouble in-running when turned out under a penalty at Newcastle last time, starting to stay on with purpose when having no room inside the final furlong and he was unable to recover after. Betfair Sportsbook are offering six places here, and he looks a cracking each-way bet at a double-figure price.
