Timeform on Lady Nectar
Back
Lady Nectar - 15:20 Catterick
Lady Nectar is a filly on the up and should not be opposed under a 6 lb penalty on the back of such an impressive success at Thirsk. Lady Nectar readily prevailed over this course and distance last month and then took a big step forward to defy a 7 lb higher mark at Thirsk, forging three and a quarter lengths clear in the style of a filly capable of cutting it in better quality handicaps. She is on a roll and can complete the hat-trick.
Lay
Tango Echo Charlie - 13:35 Uttoxeter
Tango Echo Charlie shaped much better than the distance beaten would suggest at Cartmel last time, wilting on the long run-in. His form is among the best on offer in this race but in Le Grand Rocher and College Oak he faces a couple of rivals who have achieved a similar amount but are open to more improvement. He can be taken on.
Smart Stat
Citronella - 16:50 Catterick
3 - Mark Johnston's number of winners in the past ten runnings
Mark Johnston has a good record in this mile-and-a-half novice and his representative this year, Citronella, makes some appeal on paper. She is the first foal of Autumn Lily, who showed useful form on the racecourse, winning on three occasions. Autumn Lily is a half-sister to three winners, including the very smart Alexandros, so Citronella is entitled to respect.
