Timeform on Viking Ruby

13:30 - This doesn't look a strong handicap and it may pay to keep it simple and side with last-time-out winner REALTA DAWN (7). She built on her previous form and belatedly recaptured the pick of her Irish form to break her maiden in good style, the manner of that success suggesting she will remain of interest in the short term. A subsequent 7 lb rise in the weights isn't excessive and she makes the most appeal in this field. Truckers Tangle is another who lurks on a fair mark and is feared most.

14:00 - VIKING RUBY (6) seems to be getting better with each run and should be winning races sooner rather than later judged by her runner-up effort at Wincanton last time. She had no answer for Realta Dawn - who could boost the form in the first race on this card - on that occasion, but she travelled well in the main, suggesting she can win races from this sort of mark. She is preferred to Cottonvale, who should provide the chief threat if his fall last time out hasn't left a mark, while Pahaska is handicapped to make a big impact if ready to go back from four months off.

14:30 - BATHSHEBA BAY (3) was a useful winner on the Flat for Richard Hannon and showed an aptitude for hurdling on his first start for 14 months - during which time he had been gelded/undergone a breathing operation - at Wincanton 13 days ago. He travelled smoothly, but that experience is likely to improve both his fitness and hurdling technique, and he looks a leading player here with the cheekpieces on for the first time. Dusky Hercules is interesting on his fourth in a strong race at Plumpton, so shouldn't be taken lightly despite disappointing last time. Scardura is also feared on first start for Neil Mulholland.

15:00 - WAY OUT WEST (3) was having just his second start for Robert Walford when winning a handicap chase by 23 lengths at Fontwell last week and he looks well-in turned out under a 7 lb penalty. He seemed to relish the change to more prominent tactics, making all in what admittedly didn't look the strongest three-runner race. This doesn't look much stronger though, with his main market rival not the most straightforward for all his has won his last two starts, and Way Out West in fancied to follow up now.

15:30 - COBY NINE (4) made an in-form sort pull out all the stops at Plumpton last week, shaping well on his first start since leaving Susan Gardner, ridden prominently, and rallying close home for all he was never quite getting past the winner. He stands a good chance of going one better off the same mark if coping with two outings in quick succession. Mister Universum has a more consistent profile than the majority of these and gets the nod for the forecast spot.

16:00 - HOWLONGISAFOOT (9) finally took advantage of his much-reduced mark on his most recent start over fences at Uttoxeter, and ran at least as well back over hurdles last time. He remains well treated on old form and is taken to quickly resume winning ways back over the larger obstacles. Minella Voucher probably has more to offer at this trip and is another to consider, while Lamh Ar Lamh showed aptitude for this new discipline in face of a stiff task at Worcester and should make much more of an impact here.

16:30 - The one that stands out on pedigree now that Arctic Rose is a non-runner is SABRINA (12), who cost €52,000 and is closely related to bumper winner The Milan Girl. She is fancied to make a winning start for a yard that do well in this sphere. Prussia With Love is arguably the pick of those with experience and is feared most.
