"...he looks to have a good deal more in his locker..."

Timeform on Manofthemountain

12:35 - ERITAGE (4) showed plenty when finishing fifth in a strong-looking novice hurdle at Exeter recently and remains capable of better in this sphere for Paul Nicholls. He pulled hard on his first completed start over hurdles but should have learnt plenty from that race and is taken to land the opener for a yard in top form.

13:10 - SAN RUMOLDO (6) won a Southwell bumper on debut to make a promising start to his career and, though he was well held on his reappearance at Ascot earlier this month, is of interest now sent hurdling. Alan King's charge should strip fitter for that Ascot reappearance and a bold showing is expected here.

13:45 - VAMANOS (1) showed ability in a handful of runs last term and was not disgraced when runner-up in a Kelso novice on reappearance earlier this month. There should be more to come from Olly Murphy's charge now back in handicaps, and the step up in trip is expected to lead to some improvement.

14:15 - The switch from hurdles to fences seems to have worked the oracle for MANOFTHEMOUNTAIN (3), who is two from two in this sphere and unbeaten since joining Emma Lavelle's yard. He followed up his Newton Abbot victory with another at Southwell and he looks to have a good deal more in his locker. He is capable of defying a 6 lb rise here and can complete his chase hat-trick.

14:50 - HIGHWAY TO SUCCESS (16) scored readily at Wincanton on his handicap hurdle debut recently, looking comfortably ahead of his mark, and is an obvious candidate to follow up here off the same mark. He should have even more to offer in this sphere based on the level he achieved on the Flat.

15:20 - WRITE IT DOWN (3) got off the mark in a handicap chase at Warwick under this talented conditional rider in September and fully backed up that performance with a good second at Exeter a month later, closing all the way to the line after conceding first run to the winner. He will continue to give a good account of himself in handicaps of this quality and, with this slight step back up in trip expected to suit, gets the vote.

15:50 - HAHADI (4) looked a bit rusty on his first start for five months at Hereford last time, but he had previously been placed three times in fairly strong handicap hurdles in the spring and is better judged on that form. He is likely to strip fitter for his return and looks set for a big run with the cheekpieces back on.
