14:00 - JUNVIEVE (7) is going the right way, producing comfortably her best effort yet when second at Chepstow last time, and this looks a good opportunity for her to get off the mark. Hashtagmetoo and Single appear the main threats.
14:30 - ELEGANT LOVE (8) remains a maiden after 13 career outings, but she has offered every indication that her turn could be near in recent starts, notably going down by just a length when fourth at Ffos Las last time. This represents a significant drop in grade now running in a seller for the first time, and, 3 lb clear of the field on weight-adjusted ratings, David Evans' charge is likely to find few better opportunities than this to gain a deserved success, with the majority of her rivals arriving here hopelessly out of form.
15:00 - LE DON DE VIE (2) won his first two starts this season when trained by Andrew Balding and was subsequently bought for £460,000 by new connections after. He shaped well on debut for a new yard, too, going for a long way as though still ahead of his mark, having every chance over a furlong out but leaving the impression he just needed the run after nine weeks off. There should be more to come from him now and he looks interesting in what is, admittedly, a competitive handicap.
15:35 - LUNA MAGIC (3) is yet to finish out of the first two since joining the Archie Watson yard and knuckled down well to regain the winning thread at Beverley last time, always towards the head of affairs and finding plenty when challenged in the straight to get the verdict by a length and a quarter. She is likely to adopt similarly forceful tactics this afternoon, with no obvious competition for the lead, and a 5 lb higher mark is unlikely to anchor her too much if arriving in the same sort of mood, representing a yard that continues in top form (seven winners from last 23 runners).
16:10 - ANGEL'S HIDEAWAY (10) shaped as if still in form when ninth in the Oak Tree Stakes over C&D last time, enduring trouble in-running in the straight and doing well under the circumstances to be beaten less than four lengths, having been given an easy time of things when it became clear that her chance had gone. She is clearly much better than that, as she showed when making the frame in the 1000 Guineas/Jersey Stakes earlier in 2019, and the double-figure odds currently on offer look potentially very generous if reproducing that level of form, with the prospect of even more to come now wearing headgear.
16:45 - ALEMAGNA (6) makes her handicap bow on a fair mark and can step forward on only her second attempt at a mile and a half to gain a first win in this concluding leg of the Placepot. Spanish Aria is a big danger if taking to first-time blinkers now upped in trip.
17:20 - ZAC BROWN (2) has been in good order in the main and looks the safest option here, with Broughton Excels and Red Stripes others to note.
17:50 - BLUE MEDICI (5) proved no match for a resurgent sort at Haydock on his latest start, yet he was far from disgraced, and now re-united with Becky Smith, it would come as no surprise to see him make a bold bid once more in the finale. Surrey Blaze and Lightening Dance can also feature.
