12:10 - CARLO ROCKS (2) figures on a handy mark and is taken to open his account over fences now back over a more suitable trip. High Counsel isn't the most trustworthy but arrives in good nick and looks the chief danger, while Spirit of Hale rates a sound place prospect.
12:40 - NAUTICAL TWILIGHT (2) shaped as if still in good form when third over three miles here last time, taking an age to settle but still holding every chance when clouting three out, a mistake that ultimately put paid to her challenge. She certainly showed enough to suggest that she remains on a fair mark, and, a determined winner of her penultimate outing over C&D, this looks an excellent opportunity for her to resume winning ways now back down in trip, with the prospect of more to come on just her third start for these connections. Double Court and Indian Native are next best.
13:10 - SHAN BLUE (5) was yet to be asked for his effort when falling three out at Newbury last time and is fancied to gain compensation here, representing trainer Dan Skelton (22%) and jockey Harry Skelton (27%), both of whom can boast excellent strikes rates at Southwell in recent seasons. Stonific is feared most having made a promising start in this sphere when second at Sedgefield.
13:45 - KEEN ON (2) showed a willing attitude to make the perfect start to his hurdling career at Sandown last month, finding plenty to get on top close home. The five-year-old looks sure to improve with that experience under his belt and is fancied to defy his penalty to follow up here for Nicky Henderson, who has his string in typically fine form at present (nine winners from 29 runners in the last seven days). Blackfinch is another with claims if building on the promise of his debut second over C&D, while the more battle-hardened Echiquier shouldn't be totally discounted, either.
14:15 - GETARIVER (1) confirmed the promise of her hurdling bow to get off the mark at Ludlow last time, just needing to be driven out after the last as she made all the running to win by a length and a quarter. Admittedly, this represents a much tougher task on handicap debut, attempting to concede weight all-round to some more-experienced rivals, but her scope for further improvement offers hope that she may be equal to it for the Dan/Harry Skelton. Darling du Large and Pink Legend head the list of dangers.
14:50 - WHATSDASTORY (6) shaped promisingly when second on her hurdling debut in Ireland in May, racing prominently and keeping on well to be beaten only three lengths in a mares' maiden hurdle that has thrown up it's fair share of winners, with the third and fifth both advancing their form when winning similar events subsequently. She has joined Dr Richard Newland in the interim and should prove up to well up to winning a race of this nature with further improvement on the cards. Exeter runner-up Sandymount Rose can follow her home ahead of Elk Bridge.
15:20 - SCHIAPARANNIE (2) could be another to benefit from the switch to Justin Landy and gets the vote, with confidence increased should the market vibes be strong. She's Gina has been successful on both previous visits here and could be the one to give the selection most to think about.
