Timeform take you through the card at Redcar on Sunday...
"...should take all the beating off a mark that's still appealing..."
Timeform on The Great Heir
12:15 - A weak opener in which SWELL SONG (3) is taken to finally open her account from such a lowly mark. Robert Cowell's filly made an encouraging return when runner-up and she can build on that here. Hello Girl had little to spare when scoring at Beverley on Wednesday but is feared most under a penalty, while Sambucca Spirit and Blackcurrent can fight out the minor honours.
12:45 - MY KINDA DAY (7) ran an excellent race when runner-up at Newcastle 17 days ago, and was arguably a shade unfortunate on the day given his rider dropped his whip a furlong out. He's 6 lb higher on the back of that effort but remains low mileage and gets the nod to go one place better. Tom Tulliver and Wonderwork similarly shaped well on their respective returns and head up the dangers.
13:15 - Karl Burke has already saddled a couple of winning juvenile newcomers and his NIGHT OF ROMANCE (3) makes plenty of appeal given her very useful dam scored at the first attempt. Rumaythah and Al Shoughor are also appealing types in a race that could be dominated by debutantes.
13:45 - SAINT LAWRENCE (5) shaped with promise in what could turn out to be a hot Newmarket maiden 17 days ago and can put his experience to good use. Mister Allegro, from the Mark Johnston stable, makes the most appeal of the newcomers.
14:15 - HIGH ACCOLADE (2) knew his job well when making a winning start at Newcastle in October, but can still improve and looks to have been found another good opportunity. Soaring Star is the obvious threat on form.
14:45 - GOLD ZABEEL (3) shaped well on his debut when sixth in a good Lingfield maiden and Mark Johnston's Shamardal colt is taken to build on it here at the chief expense of Entrancing, who made a winning bow at Leicester but has a 10-month absence to overcome now. John Jasper is another with better to come so he looks the pick of the remainder.
15:15 - THE GREAT HEIR (6) pulled well clear with a progressive sort (who ran well at Royal Ascot earlier in the week) when last seen at Haydock so, provided he's fully tuned up for this return, he should take all the beating off a mark that's still appealing. Arbalet is an obvious danger on his second outing for David O'Meara and Breanski shouldn't be dismissed.
15:45 - TREVITHICK (1) was a good second back on the turf at Leicester last week and remains with handicapping scope on this surface. Kermouster pulled too hard upped in trip on her comeback at Haydock and should do better over this distance, while Harry George ran well on his first start on turf at Pontefract 11 days ago.
16:15 - AMPNEY RED (8) left the impression she possibly just needed the outing on her return at Newcastle and is taken to come good at the second time of asking for Mick Appleby. Cold Light of Day made a sound start to her handicap career over 1m here last autumn and there should be more to come from her now stepping up in trip. Handsome Yank is also shortlisted after some decent efforts on the all-weather this year.
16:45 - REVOLVER (1) was really strong at the finish when making a successful reappearance/handicap debut at Pontefract on Monday and is just the sort to rack up a sequence as his stamina is drawn out further. Warranty could be the one for the forecast, though Boulevard Beauty is open to progress.
