14:15 - ARCHIMENTO (1) was a prolific winner on the Flat in 2018 and shaped with promise when second on hurdling debut at Fontwell last month before going one place better over the same C&D last time, upsides when not fluent two out, but led soon after, and quickened clear in good style under a hands-and-heels ride. There should be even more to come from here and he is expected to defy a penalty. Fellow last-time-out winner Gateway To Europe looks the obvious danger.
14:45 - All six can be considered, but JUMPING JACK (4) could be the way to go. He's been ticking over nicely on the level and there should be more to come from him back in this sphere at the scene of his maiden win last autumn. He gets the vote over Cubswin and the three-year-old What Will Be.
15:15 - GOLD MOUNTAIN (2) has been running creditably and gives the impression he'll stay this new trip with how he finishes off his races. He stayed on well last time from two out, and remains with relatively few miles on the clock for his age, so is preferred to Alexander The Grey and Silver Man, who look lurking as dangers.
15:45 - HUMMDINGER (4) is just a fair maiden on the Flat, but given the yard he hails from, he is surely going to be better over hurdles than what he showed on debut in this sphere at Worcester last month. He was very easy to back, and made an inauspicious start, not always fluent, and shaken up leaving the back straight, left behind early in straight. Hummdinger should improve for that initial experience, and this doesn't look the strongest race, so is expected to go well in a race that Alan King has tasted success in before. Local Affair sets the standard and looks the danger.
16:15 - YOUNG WOLF (2) remains with an air of untapped potential, particularly over this trip of further than three miles, so he gets marginal preference over Glanvilles Guest, who continues to head in the right direction also. Sizing Granite is chasing a hat-trick so also has to be respected.
16:45 - A mixed bag for this novice handicap chase, and ready preference is for Gary Moore's GOLDSLINGER (2), who has shaped well on both his starts since sent chasing and looks more than capable of going in off this mark. Taaffes Castle rates the chief threat, especially if the cheekpieces sharpen him up, ahead of recent Worcester scorer Torhousemuir.
17:15 - Gary Moore has won this race twice in recent years, including with HERMOSA VAQUERA (1) 12 months ago from a 4 lb lower mark. She hasn't been seen since running down the field on the Flat at Kempton in October, but she has gone well fresh in the past, and will likely be fit enough to do herself justice here, so is fancied to give a good account.
