Timeform on Dante's View

17:15 - DANTE'S VIEW (4) has been expensive to follow, but is bred to be much better than this mark, and is worth one more chance back on the all-weather in a race that shouldn't take much winning. He again run creditably when runner-up at Leicester last time, not doing anything wrong, just nailed on the line by one who came from further back. That was his best effort to date, and it won't take much more for him to open his account here. Asian Angel might be the one for the forecast spot.

17:45 - POETIC LEGACY (9) showed much improved form for a step up in trip when opening her account in good style at Chelmsford six days ago. She's in excellent hands, so that ought not to prove her limit and she is fancied to make a bold follow-up bid under a penalty. About Glory has got his act together of late and is feared most, ahead of Corked at likely longer odds.

18:15 - Both ANASTARSIA (7) and Crystal Pegasus ran to a similar level on their respective debuts, yet there is a bigger disparity than expected in their prices. Therefore, it makes sense to side with the former, who shaped well on debut at Ascot last time. Sent off at odds of 6/4, she was clearly fancied to go well, leaving the impression she is more one for next year, but also shaping as though she'd come on plenty for that experience. John Gosden does well with his runners at this track, and she is fancied to prove too strong here.

18:45 - The superbly-bred JOVIAL (1) opened her account at the second attempt at Yarmouth last month despite still looking rough around the edges and can go on improving for a while yet. She should have the measure of the promising Excel And Succeed, while there are plenty of interesting newcomers on show, including Bound For Heaven and Roger Varian's pair Zezenia and Rock of Fame.

19:15 - COLONEL SLADE (7) bounced back to something like his best when runner-up in a Leicester seller in July and, having since switched yards/undergone wind surgery, he could be worth chancing to take advantage of a reduced mark for a yard that are making a good fist of things. Blazing Dreams and Schnapps are a couple of other three-year-olds fancied to feature.

19:45 - KYLLWIND (1) showed ability amongst greenness on his first two starts at Windsor and Doncaster this summer, before running no sort of race in the Super Sprint at Newbury when last seen in July. There is reason to expect better now handicapping though, expected to be suited by this step up in trip, and is worth chancing in an open heat. KITOS (11) is related to plenty of winners, including Krypton Factor, so it would be surprising if she didn't prove capable of defying a mark of 46 on the back of a positive nursery debut at Ffos Las, so she is worth keeping on side too.

20:15 - CRITICAL TIME (3) was still on a learning curve when finishing second in novices the last twice, and now she's that bit more professional, she could prove too good for an opening mark of 74 stepping up in trip. 5-time course-winner Oriental Lilly is an obvious threat and Regal Banner might find some improvement for the fitting of blinkers.
