16:10 - THRILLA IN MANILA (1) landed a big-field Newbury novice on his sole start as a two-year-old, and though he was well beaten in the Bengough Stakes at Ascot on his return, he should strip fitter for that outing and can take advantage of this marked drop back in grade to regain the winning thread.
16:40 - FANTASY BELIEVER (3) wasn't seen to best effect at Wolverhampton recently, having been left with too much to do after a slow start, but he caught the eye late on, finishing well under a hands-and-heels ride. He remains with potential and may be worth siding with here on his polytrack debut.
17:10 - PENTIMENTO (9) took a big step forward from his debut when runner-up in a Chelmsford novice last month and, though unable to reach that level the next time, he ran better than a four-length second place finish might suggest. He was only just getting going at the finish having had too much to do from an early stage and, with better expected now up in trip, John Best's three-year-old may have been underestimated by the assessor here.
17:40 - BOCCACCIO (1) won a minor event at Yarmouth on debut in May and looked potentially useful in doing so. The Godolphin colt already holds an Irish 2,000 Guineas entry, and, armed with plenty of scope for progression, he should prove difficult to beat here.
18:10 - FUWAYRIT (1) won with plenty in hand at Chelmsford to make it two victories from his first three starts and looked a progressive sort with the promise of better to come. He failed to build on that when a disappointing seventh at Chester in September on his handicap debut, but has a good chance to make amends here and get back on track for the Mark Johnston team.
18:40 - HADDAF (9) returned to form when a good third in a C&D handicap off a career-low mark recently and is worth chancing to go close again here off the same weight. The booking of James Doyle is a plus and it will be no surprise if he's involved in the finish.
19:10 - TOROCHICA (6) had shown plenty of potential at the start of her career, following up her debut win at Newmarket with an encouraging second at Chelmsford, but failed to build on that promise when well beaten in good quality Newmarket handicap last month. She got back on track at Chelmsford earlier this month when finding only one too good and is expected to be bang there again today off the same mark.
19:40 - SWEET CELEBRATION (2) showed much improved form to get off the mark at Kempton in impressive style last month, running out an eight-length winner, and a 9 lb rise may not be enough to curtail her upward momentum. Marco Botti's yard are in good form at the minute and his charge has major claims here if anywhere near the level she showed last time.
