"...the standard-setter on weight-adjusted ratings who may yet have more to offer now back up to 1m..."

Timeform on Dubrava

17:10 - This may be best left to SWELL SONG (2), who has made the frame on three of her last four starts, including when runner-up in a minor event back on the all-weather 10 days ago. On that evidence, a race of this nature looks realistic off her current mark. The low-mileage Twilighting and Gold Club may well emerge as the main dangers.

17:40 - NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND (7) showed improved form making just his second start in a nursery at Lingfield last week, always prominent and keeping going well in the final 100 yards to lose out by just a neck, with another three lengths back to the third. William Muir's charge can race from 1 lb lower in the weights this time round and, as a result, the case for him in this second leg of the Placepot is a fairly simple one to make, 9 lb clear of the field on weight-adjusted ratings for a yard that is operating comfortably above its average level at present (50% of horses running to form).

18:10 - MISS PAXMAN (5) was clearly disappointing at Salisbury when last seen in July, but it's far too soon to forget the promise of her debut - in what turned out to be a hot race - and she's well worth another chance with blinkers now added for the first time. Martyn Meade's filly may have most to fear from newcomers Rosa and Trecco Bay.

18:40 - Ready preference is for LYRICIST VOICE (5), who was caught out only by greenness when narrowly denied over C&D last month. Open to further improvement, he looks capable of going one better. Overpriced Mixer and I Had A Dream can battle it out for a share of the minor money.

19:10 - DUBRAVA (4) produced a career best to get off the mark over 7f here in August, staying on strongly to lead close home, ultimately winning with more in hand than the official margin of a head would suggest. Representing the Roger Varian yard that continues in top form (70% of horses performing to expectations), she certainly showed enough to suggest that a 5 lb higher mark is unlikely to prove beyond her in this penultimate leg of the Placepot, the standard-setter on weight-adjusted ratings who may yet have more to offer now back up to 1m (very strong at the finish last time).

19:40 - REVOLUTIONISE (2) isn't the most straightforward, but there was plenty to like about the manner of his success over C&D last time, settling better behind the contested pace and ending up proving better than ever on his return to the all-weather, quite impressive in the way he surged to the front. On that evidence, Roger Varian's charge remains potentially well treated from only 4 lb higher here (clear on weight-adjusted ratings), and he should mount a bold follow-up bid granted another strong gallop to aim at under Andrea Atzeni, who has ridden more winners at Kempton than at any other track in recent seasons (61/276, £55.91 level-stakes profit) and could be in for another productive evening.

20:10 - CROESO CYMRAEG (1) is developing an excellent all-weather record, and with a double-figure draw no concern given his usual hold-up tactics, he looks to have plenty in his favour in the finale. Topology and By Rail finished first and second here three weeks ago and can remain competitive, with Agent Gibbs another to consider back from a short break.
