Timeform on Mabela

14:10 - It's a pretty quick turnaround for GET BACK GET BACK (4) after his encouraging hurdles debut here a fortnight ago but he looked sure to win races in this code then and his fitness could count for plenty. The form of Glory And Fortune's listed bumper win doesn't amount to much but he's doubtless a useful jumps prospect. Mount Windsor should also be making his presence felt in this sphere.

14:45 - Some interesting hurdling newcomers with GETAWAY MAG (6) selected before market clues having won a point prior to joining Dan Skelton. Timetochill was a fairly useful dual winner in bumpers and looks a good prospect for jumping, while Who's The Boss and Elk Bridge also have good futures in this sphere.

15:15 - This looks decidedly open, but DEFINITELYANOSCAR's (4) pointing background provides hope that she can take to fences. She was a fairly useful winner over hurdles, showing improved form for a wind operation when first past the post at Newton Abbot (disqualified after rider weighed in light) then not disgraced in listed event, so she gets a narrow vote ahead of fellow chase newcomers Renwick, Manning Estate and Shanty Alley.

15:50 - MABELA (6) easily makes the most appeal. She improved towards the end of last season and still has potential returning from a break for her top yard. Of the rest, San Pedro de Senam is probably still on a fair mark when things fall right, while Bartholomew J may do better now venturing into handicaps.

16:20 - A tricky handicap chase with the narrow vote in favour of ALMOST GOLD (3). A fair winning hurdler, his chase debut effort back in the spring wasn't devoid of promise and he's the type to do better in this sphere for his excellent yard. Veteran Gold Patrol is also worth a second look under Brian Hughes, whilst Seaston Spirit and Alexander The Grey can also feature.

16:55 - JIMMI CHEW (10) improved again when opening his account at Uttoxeter last month, and with doubts surrounding the majority of these, he's an appealing candidate in his follow-up bid. Ormesher can remain competitive at this level, with For Jim another to consider with the headgear back on.
