Timeform take you through the card at Haydock on Saturday...

12:05 - THEBANNERKINGREBEL (4) landed the odds in good style on his first two starts over hurdles at Warwick and Newton Abbot, respectively, and was in the process of running well under a double penalty until departing at the last at Wetherby last time. He had every chance of winning on that occasion, and the winner was a smart recruit from the Flat, so Thebannerkingrebel is one to keep on the right side for now. The form of Torn And Frayed's Warwick second last month has been boosted a few times since and he could perhaps be the one to give Jamie Snowden's charge most to think about.

12:40 - BACK TO THE THATCH (10) shaped well for a long way on his return at Cheltenham last month and is on a good mark on the pick of last season's form. Burtons Well made light of a long absence at Aintree and remains low mileage, while Singlefarmpayment has been eased 4 lb ahead of this return and could be involved, for all he is hard to win with.

13:15 - Sue Smith remains without a win this season, but her horses are running well nonetheless, and MIDNIGHT SHADOW (4) would have won in a good-looking event at Carlisle last time but for falling at the final fence. He looks a smart recruit to fences, and is taken to gain compensation now, provided he is none the worse for that fall. The Hollow Ginge is another promising sort, but shapes as though he wants further than this.

13:50 - HONEST VIC's (5) Market Rasen success received a boost when the second won at Aintree next time and Henry Daly's charge could prove the answer in a tight handicap. Project Bluebook looked sure to play a big part at Wetherby last time until his rider took the wrong course so he should have a say off the same mark. Whoshotthesheriff was going well when falling on his reappearance and is also respected.

14:25 - A typically competitive renewal of this handicap, but TEDHAM (15) looks a smart stayer in the making for Jonjo O'Neill. He shaped well on the back of a wind operation on his reappearance at Cheltenham and remains on a good mark with this longer trip sure to suit. Highland Hunter is very interesting from a potentially good mark starting out for Paul Nicholls, while Stoney Mountain is another who remains with potential and is another to consider.

15:00 - Colin Tizzard won this race three times with Cue Card in recent years and LOSTINTRANSLATION (4) has the potential to replicate that. He was one of the best novices around last season, gaining his win at the top level in the Mildmay at Aintree on his final start - and first start at 3m - that campaign. It was hard not to be impressed by his return in an intermediate event at Carlisle, and the return to this trip now will only bring about more improvement. It won't be easy to beat Bristol de Mai round here, but Lostintranslation is on the up and is fancied to rise to the task.

15:40 - KNOW THE SCORE (4) looks a useful staying chaser in the making and can follow up his Worcester win. Late Romantic is another who made a successful return on the back of a wind operation and he can go well again. Moving In Style also needs considering.
