The Betfair punters have spoken and Wednesday's most backed horse is over at Salisbury, where Frankie Dettori is aboard a hot favourite...
"...with Frankie Dettori doing the steering, today presents an excellent opportunity to get off the mark for her new trainer."
Climate to change recent fortunes
15:30 Salisbury: Climate 11/8
Climate heads the market over in the 15:30 at Salisbury this afternoon and has continued to receive plenty of support throughout the morning.
Having recently left Jessica Harrington for John Gosden, Betfair punters believe the four-year-old's trainer has found the perfect opportunity to make a winning debut.
Despite finishing down the field in seventh last time out at Haydock, it was evident to see the 1m4f trip stretched her and a return to 1m1f gives her a big shout based on previous efforts.
This includes her rather impressive close fourth in the Group 2 Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket in May, and with Frankie Dettori doing the steering, today presents an excellent opportunity to get off the mark for her new trainer.
It's also worth noting that this is Dettori's only ride on the card.
Climate isn't Gosden's only runner in the race, as Morning Poem is also entered having won a handicap over at Newmarket. However, despite her form clearly heading in the right direction, the three-year-old will need to perform markedly better to land this, which is reflected in her current price at 9.08/1.
Rose Of Kildare is Climate's main market rival, having won Group 3 races at the age of two and three. Returning from a lengthy 511 day absence, the five-year-old finished second of six in a Listed race at Newmarket in mid-July, but that was over 1m4f and the drop in trip today hasn't enticed potential bettors.
Climate remains firmly the number one choice according to the market and you can back her to record a winning debut for John Gosden at 11/8.
