"...has the makings of a good prospect over obstacles..."

Timeform on Green Dolphin

12:40 - GREEN DOLPHIN (8) makes his hurdling debut here after showing useful form in bumpers last season, and has the makings of a good prospect over obstacles. His put in an above-average performance when winning at Wincanton in March before disappointing slightly at Newbury, possibly finding the run coming too quickly, and he remains one of the better prospects in this field and just shades the vote ahead of the promising Copper Coin, who fell when close up on hurdle debut and retains scope for improvement.

13:15 - It's fair to suspect that there is more to come from MR MULDOON (5) after the way he rattled home at Kelso to record his second win in as many starts. He is stepped up in trip today after being outpaced and looking an unlikely winner for a while on his latest outing before showing a good attitude and plenty of stamina to get back up. He remains open to improvement and is fancied to make a winning start to life in handicap company.

13:50 - ON TOUR (9) has been given a chance by the handicapper and it almost cashed in last time out when narrowly denied at Chepstow. He is up just 3 lb for that effort and still looks to have a race in him off this mark. He is of obvious appeal here at a course where he often goes well. Killaro Boy ran a stormer in defeat in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter after making a winning debut for new connections and he may have more to offer, so rates the main danger.

14:25 - HEAR NO EVIL (1) shaped with promise when placed in a couple of bumpers and made a good start over hurdles, winning two of his three starts last season. The form of his last win under a penalty at Catterick has worked out well, with both the second and the third winning their next start, and the handicapper has allotted Hear No Evil with a fair mark. Dan Skelton does well with such types and a big run is expected. Stoney Mountain looks the obvious danger.

15:00 - This looks an exciting renewal of the Old Roan in which Frodon returns to defend his crown. However, he is 11 lb higher in the weights this time round, and has to give a stone to the younger and more progressive KALASHNIKOV (2), who enjoyed his greatest day of his short career when winning the Manifesto Novices' Chase over this C&D on his final start last season. Unexposed at this trip, he should prove too classy for these, and is strongly fancied to make a winning reappearance.

15:35 - DJANGO DJANGO (5) made an encouraging start to his chasing career at Uttoxeter, but left the impression he was in need of a stiffer test. He is back up to three miles here and he rates the type to make his mark over fences this season. This is by no means an open goal for Django Django, however. The Hollow Ginge and Plan of Attack have both already replicated some of their best hurdle form over fences while Over To Sam shaped encouragingly at Newton Abbot on the back of a lengthy absence last time.

16:10 - WHITE HART LADY (15) represents a yard with an enviable record in bumpers, and given her dam hit the ground running in this sphere, a winning debut would come as no surprise. Cill Anna was acquired by powerful connections following her point win and is an obvious threat, with Notawordofalie perhaps the pick of those with Rules experience.
