Timeform take you through the card at Haydock on Saturday, which is headlined by the Group 3 John of Gaunt Stakes...
"...she is taken to follow up despite shouldering a 6 lb penalty."
Timeform on Sea Youmzain
14:15 - Things clicked into place for SEA YOUMZAIN (4) when scoring on handicap debut at Nottingham last time out, and she was value for extra for doing so. This doesn't look the strongest of three-year-old handicaps, and she is taken to follow up despite shouldering a 6 lb penalty. Star of Southwold and Podemos are still open to more improvement, though, and head the dangers.
14:50 - GOD GIVEN (5) improved in leaps and bounds last term, and there still looks like there's more to come from the four-year-old, who is a half sister to the top-class Postponed. Her solid reappearance run when fourth at Ascot last month should bring her on, and she will be very difficult to beat. Titi Makfi is a likeable sort who would be a threat if being allowed to dominate from the front. Useful German performer Fosun is respected, while Cribbs Causeway and What A Home probably have more in the locker.
15:25 - JUDICIAL (8) put in a fine effort to finish behind the highly progressive and race fit Mabs Cross on reappearance at Newmarket last month, deserving credit for how close he got to her that day. He has been consistently running well at this level, and is fancied to gain a much deserved success. Last year's winner Final Venture produced a fine effort in a handicap at York last time and is respected, whilst Muthmir would be very difficult to beat is producing his a-game.
16:00 - DUTCH CONNECTION (2) has campaigned at higher levels than this over the past few seasons, and generally run with credit. The fact that he has been successful in each of his three starts at Group 3 level is a big factor, and he appeals as the class act. The highly unexposed Emmaus is likely to be a threat, whilst D'bai and Tabarrak are others to consider in today's feature.
16:35 - MICKEY (7) quickly recovered from his blip at Chester to finish a creditable fourth at Doncaster recently, a race which has the makings of being really solid form. Refitted with a visor today, he looks sure to make a bold bid and gets the vote in a wide open head. SUMMERGHAND (5) arrives here at the top of his game and is worth adding into your placepot, whilst Pennsylvania Dutch and Calder Prince aren't dismissed lightly.
17:10 - BREAKING RECORDS (3) was second behind a long odds-on favourite at Pontefract last time out, a position he was entitled to occupy. That was a solid run, though, and on the evidence of that form, it seems that the handicapper has been generous with him. Last Page should be able to go a more even tempo this time and is feared most, ahead of the Lord of The Glen.
17:45 - KNOWING GLANCE (8) overcame adversity to make an impressive winning reappearance at Carlisle last month and it's unlikely a 5 lb rise will be enough to stop him following up despite the presence of potential improvers like Highlight Reel and No I'm Easy.
