Timeform take you through the card at Hamilton on Thursday.
14:00 - ALBERT STREET (1) fared better than the bare result when fourth on his racecourse debut at Beverley 12 days ago, forced to deliver his challenge from further back than ideal after a slow start and keeping on well under the circumstances to be beaten just three lengths. He should know more today and is fancied to improve past Jive Lady, who has had more chances than most in this line-up.
14:30 - KODIMOOR (3) compromised his chance with a tardy start at Catterick last month, but that is most unlike him and Christopher Kellett's charge is taken to quickly regain the winning thread from a handy draw in this second leg of the Placepot. Last-time-out C&D winner Camanche Grey has to be feared, while Cool Run Girl has a bigger performance in her.
15:05 - METISIAN (5) showed much improved form to get off the mark on his handicap debut at Doncaster three weeks ago and remains potentially very well treated from just 6 lb higher in the weights here. Indeed, that form leaves him 2 lb clear of the field on Timeform ratings and, with the prospect of more to come after just four starts, Metisian looks a sprint handicapper to keep onside and is fancied to continue the fine form of trainer Jedd O'Keeffe (four winner from last 10 runners).
15:35 - HOCHFELD (4) turned a Chester handicap into a one-sided affair on Saturday, travelling strongly on the front end throughout and quickly forging clear in the closing stages. He faces competition for the lead from Be Perfect here, but remains potentially very well treated under a 6 lb penalty and is expected to pass this test with a defeat of fellow three-year-old Thor.
16:10 - FIVEHUNDREDMILES (4) ran as well as ever when second over C&D last time, enduring a troubled passage two-out and doing well under the circumstances to be beaten just one and a quarter lengths. He can race from the same mark this afternoon and, with the form of that latest effort working out well (winner, third and fourth have all won since), Fivehundredmiles looks the one to beat and is fancied to provide trainer John Patrick Shanahan with a third victory in this race since 2012.
16:40 - PIONEERING (2) has left the firm impression in his last two handicap outings that there is a bigger effort on the way and he is firmly expected to get off the mark without much fuss returned to maiden company in a really weak race. A back-in-form Somnambulist could give the selection something to think about, as could Snowy Winter if learning from her debut.
17:15 - STARDRIFTER (3) is thrown in on last year's form and looked on the way back last time, so looks worth chancing in a race that lacks depth with an excellent claimer back in the saddle. Catastrophe is another well handicapped sort who is right back in form, so he needs considering along with last-time-out winner Cline.
