Timeform pick out their best back, lay and smart stat bets on Friday...
"This contest is usually run at a good gallop and that is something the selection will relish, so plenty looks in favour for him to run a big race."
Timeform on Beyond The Clouds
Lyndon B - 15:50 Sandown
LYNDON B went to Glorious Goodwood off the back of a win at Leicester and was fancied to back that up but wasn't seen to best effect on that occasion when coming from much further back than the two that got the better of him. He has been raised 1 lb for that performance but now back up to a mile and with the visor retained that has seen him improve his form, he looks set for another big performance. Ground doesn't look to be an issue with him and despite facing some in-form sorts, he can make up for a luckless run last time and take this contest for George Scott.
Overpriced Mixer - 14:00 Thirsk
OVERPRICED MIXER went to Kempton last time for what looked a penalty kick given what he had achieved and the quality of opposition he was taking on but still managed to find one too good on that occasion and could be vulnerable again here. Strawman finished a useful fourth after being slowly away on debut and shaped as if the extra half a furlong will suit him. If he jumps on terms, he looks to have a good chance, as well as Urban Hero, who makes the long journey north for Archie Watson, who is prolific with his two-year-olds so merits attention in the betting with not a very high standard to aim at.
Beyond The Clouds - 18:55 Hamilton
25% - Kevin Ryan's strike rate at HAMILTON PARK since the start of the 2015 season
Kevin Ryan has only just embarked on a flat carer with useful hurdler BEYOND THE CLOUDS and now he has him eligible for handicaps off what could be a lenient mark based on his hurdle form, he could well take the feature prize at Hamilton on Friday evening. His flat debut was promising, before a blip at Pontefract but he soon left that behind when winning at Ripon in minor company when up to a mile and a half. He showed he possesses a turn of foot when kicking clear of a subsequent winner after travelling well throughout the contest. This contest is usually run at a good gallop and that is something the selection will relish, so plenty looks in favour for him to run a big race.
