Timeform pick out their three best bets from Dundalk on Friday evening...
"He should be sharper this time around, and, off the same mark as last month, he gets the vote to return to winning ways."
Timeform on Blastofmagic
Blastofmagic - Dundalk 18:15
Blastofmagic shaped as though he would come on for the run when fifth on reappearance over C&D last month, typically travelling strongly and only running out of steam inside the final furlong. He should be sharper this time around, and, off the same mark as last month, he gets the vote to return to winning ways. British punters may struggle to pronounce Ar Saoirse, but he's been knocking on the door of late and rates as the biggest threat to the selection.
Sheisdiesel - Dundalk 18:45
Sheisdiesel has proven to be a different proposition since being stepped up in trip, and she did very well to complete a hat-trick over C&D 3 weeks ago the way things panned out, when having to come from the rear to make her bid. She's in fine heart at the moment, meaning a 4 lb rise may not be enough to stop her, and she's taken to complete the four timer. Chaparral Dream was narrowly beaten by Sheisdiesel last time, and is a big danger now on 4 lb better terms to that rival.
Balefire - Dundalk 19:15
Balefire showed plenty of promise when fourth on his debut at Leopardstown last October, keeping on well inside the final furlong to get within four lengths of the winner, having edged right early in the straight. He seems sure to come on for that initial outing considering his pedigree (dam half-sister to useful Sam Missile), and with the extra furlong likely to suit, he's fancied to return from a 153-day break to take this. National Guard has far more starts under his belt for his powerful connections, and sets a solid standard.
