PINK DOGWOOD looked like the best horse in the Oaks before being reeled in late, and she should be able to gain compensation here at the expense of Wild Illusion, who has achieved more than the selection but needs to put a sub-par reappearance behind her. Magic Wand is the pick of the others.

GIGA WHITE - 17:55 Curragh

GIGA WHITE surpassed his juvenile form when runner-up on last month's handicap debut, and taking on his elders for the first time, he would appear to have a lot in his favour from only 1 lb higher, with the prospect of even more to come in first-time blinkers. Baladiya is also open to improvement, with Waitaki one to consider at a bigger price having caught the eye at Fairyhouse last time.

NICKAJACK CAVE - 18:25 Curragh

NICKAJACK CAVE progressed again as he made it two wins from three career starts at Navan earlier this month, displaying a terrific attitude to come out on top in a tight finish. He doesn't like the sort who is ever going to win by far and should stay ahead of the handicapper for a few runs yet. Sky Seven and Cuban Hope head up the opposition.
