1.40 John Guest British EBF Fillies' Novice Stakes (4) 7f

Analyst's Verdict:
Having shaped with considerable promise on their respective Newmarket debuts, Indicia and Jousi could be the pair to concentrate on. Preference is for Indicia, who found just one too good in what was probably an aboveaverage maiden, and the booking of Ryan Moore suggests that connections mean business. Lady Momoka may be best of the newcomers, though Expressiy and Lady Godiva are also appealing.

Timeform Top Rated:
98p 4. INDICIA Charles Hills Ryan Moore
96p 5. JOUSI Hugo Palmer Josephine Gordon
75p 9. MAHAARAT Sir Michael Stoute Jim Crowley

2.10 Anders Foundation British EBF Crocker Bulteel Maiden Stakes (2)

Analyst's Verdict:
As ever in a race exclusively featuring newcomers, the betting will be informative. Maghaweer makes plenty of appeal on paper and his yard's recent record in this maiden tilts the scales in his favour. The majority of Charlie Appleby's 2-y-os have been razorsharp this season and his representative Mythical Magic has to be feared, while Gimcrack entry G Eye Joe and Strategist are also of interest.

2.45 John Guest Brown Jack Handicap (2) 1m7f209y

Analyst's Verdict:
The temptation to side with Uae King is hard to resist. Indeed, the well-bred colt is the least exposed of these, he represents a yard in terrific form and this further step up in trip could help unlock the improvement needed to complete the hat-trick. Mister Manduro, who Joe Fanning seemingly prefers to Isharah, may also benefit from this new trip and is feared most ahead of Wolfcatcher.

112p 8. UAE KING Roger Varian Silvestre De Sousa
110 7. MISTER MANDURO Mark Johnston Joe Fanning
109 6. MARK HOPKINS David Elsworth David Egan

3.20 Carraig Insurance British EBF Valiant Stakes (Listed) (1) 7f213y

Analyst's Verdict:
This represents a significant step up in class for Mittens, but the manner of her victories in handicaps the last twice strongly suggests that she's a pattern-class filly in the making. The daughter of New Approach can prove as much by seeing off Nathra, who is the clear form pick but her lack of match-fitness is a nagging concern. Golden Stunner is also high on the shortlist.

Timeform Top Rated:
126 3. NATHRA John Gosden Frankie Dettori
125 1. GOLDEN STUNNER Ralph Beckett Pat Dobbs
120p 6. MITTENS Sir Michael Stoute David Probert

3.55 John Guest Handicap (2) 1m3f211y

Analyst's Verdict:
Although his latest effort was underwhelming, Fidaawy is taken to bounce back and emerge on top in this competitive handicap. Indeed, there were plausible excuses last time and he left the impression that there's more to come when making a winning reappearance at Doncaster. It's not hard to make cases for Roger Varian's duo, Appeared and King Bolete, while Red Galileo is also of interest.

Timeform Top Rated:
115 8. FIDAAWY Sir Michael Stoute Jim Crowley
114 3. KING BOLETE Roger Varian Jack Mitchell
113 1. GALAPIAT Mark Johnston Ryan Moore

4.25 Neptune Investment Management Handicap (2) 5f

Analyst's Verdict:
Providing the ground doesn't dry out appreciably, the redoubtable Jack Dexter could be the answer to this competitive handicap. The 8-y-o wasn't beaten at all far off a 1 lb higher mark at Hamilton last week and the likely strong pace will play to his strengths. Coolfitch has been in fine form this season and should be on the premises once again, along with recent Newmarket winner Shamshon.

Timeform Top Rated:
121+ 13. JACK DEXTER Jim Goldie William Carson
119 11. COOLFITCH David O'Meara Shelley Birkett (3)
118 10. SHAMSHON Stuart Williams Jim Crowley

4.55 Chelsea Thoroughbreds October Club Charity Fillies' Handicap (4) 5f

Analyst's Verdict:
Midnight Malibu was collared close home at Haydock last week and can deservedly get her head back in front off the same mark here. She is versatile ground-wise so whether there's further rain or not, it will be of no consequence. Justice Lady appeared to win with a bit up her sleeve at Doncaster and is a big threat. Rose Berry is holding her form well and should also be in the mix.

Timeform Top Rated:
100 6. MIDNIGHT MALIBU Tim Easterby Rachel Richardson (3)
98 5. ROSE BERRY Chris Dwyer Joe Fanning
97 4. JUSTICE LADY David Elsworth Shane Kelly
