Auckland - Leopardstown 18:35

Auckland is almost certainly better than his form figures suggest and he holds leading claims back in a maiden. He had a hopeless task given how the race panned out on handicap debut at Kilbeggan last time, travelling as well as any in the rear, but it paid to be up with the pace. Ryan Moore in on board for the first time today and he is taken to deservedly open his account. Makamamia showed plenty to work on when runner-up on her debut and she could also go well at a fair price.

Wingingit - Leopardstown 20:05

Wingingit was relatively easy to back but she showed improved form to open her account in a Navan handicap last time, finding plenty for pressure and looking well suited by the step up to middle distances. This further step up in trip also promises to suit, and she remains completely unexposed, so is fancied to follow up. Epitaph looks the obvious danger despite still being a maiden and is feared most.

Rose Anjou - Leopardstown 20:35

Rose Anjou starts out this season on a handy mark and she ran well on her return under the circumstances at the Curragh this month, faring best of those drawn low. She has been raised 1 lb for that run, but she remains capable of winning a race of this nature, and the booking of Pat Smullen further enhances her claims. Indian Tomahawk and the overpriced Logarithm should also both go well.
