BANGKOK - 15:00 Sandown
BANGKOK contested three races as a juvenile that all proved strong form, and having been well backed, he progressed himself to get off the mark on his reappearance at Doncaster last month, relishing the longer trip as he stayed on stoutly to beat Telecaster by a length and a quarter. Once again, that form is working out extremely well, with the runner-up (won by nine lengths at Windsor) and fourth both winning next-time-out, and Bangkok is a confident selection to take this marked step up in grade in his stride, a narrow leader on weight-adjusted ratings with further improvement on the cards.
LEODIS DREAM - 16:05 Sandown
LEODIS DREAM took another step forward when landing a Thirsk handicap on his return, wandering in front but always doing enough to hold off the sustained challenge of the runner-up. David O'Meara's charge has a further 4 lb rise in the weights to contend with here, but he may yet prove capable of better given his lightly-raced profile and looks a good bet to complete the four-timer, with his draw a good one to attack from at a track where low numbers are often favoured. Good Luck Fox's runs at two included a smooth C&D success and he is feared most ahead of Reticent Angel.
NOBLE LINEAGE - 17:05 Sandown
NOBLE LINEAGE is progressing well and made a successful transition to handicaps after three months off at Wolverhampton three weeks ago, caught in a pocket at a crucial stage but overcoming it to score comfortably. Already useful, he remains open to more improvement for his in-form yard (nine winners from last 22 runners), and this looks a good opportunity for him to record a third career win, with a 6 lb higher mark than last time appealing as fair. Private Secretary and Prince of Harts also remain with potential and complete the shortlist in a race with an impressive roll of honour.
