2.00 Thames Materials Muck Away Novice Auction Stakes (5) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
88p 1. BIG BOOTS Mick Channon Charles Bishop
86 12. SWISS CHIME Richard Hannon Pat Dobbs
85p 4. KAPONO Amy Murphy Gerald Mosse

Analyst's Verdict:
The form of the Brighton race in which Kapono was third on debut is working out pretty well and, likely to be wiser now, he gets the nod. Big Boots was too free at Windsor and will be a live danger if settling better this time, while Blame Roberta showed promised on her introduction at Yarmouth and Swiss Chime is another for the shortlist.

2.35 Thames Materials Recycled/Primary Aggregates Handicap (4) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
107 6. DOURADO Patrick Chamings Jim Crowley
104 7. SIR TITAN Marcus Tregoning Hayley Turner
103§ 2. PASTORAL PLAYER Hughie Morrison Charlie Bennett (3)

Analyst's Verdict:
Dourado didn't do a great deal wrong last season, signing off with a career-best display at Kempton where he had Portledge (3 lb worse off here) back in third. There may be even better to come from this 4-y-o given his relatively low mileage. The veteran Pastoral Player, who went close in this race last year, Mr Tyrrell and Parnassian are all feared.

3.10 Thames Materials Land Restoration Fillies' Handicap (4) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
95 2. TALAAQY William Haggas Jim Crowley
94 1. ODYSSA Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
93 4. ZORAYA Paul Cole Charles Bishop

Analyst's Verdict:
Odyssa made it 2-2 on turf when striking at Newmarket last week and, while this looks tougher under a penalty, she may have enough in the locker to pull another victory out of the bag. Talaaqy surrendered her unbeaten tag when third at Chelmsford but that was nevertheless a decent effort and she is feared most. Indiscretion shouldn't be underestimated and Admired is of interest now handicapping.

3.45 British Stallion Studs EBF Cocked Hat Stakes (Listed) (1) 1m3f44y

Timeform Top Rated:
119p 4. HIGHBROW David Simcock Jamie Spencer
115p 3. BOMBYX James Fanshawe Daniel Muscutt
113+ 5. LYNWOOD GOLD Mark Johnston Joe Fanning

Analyst's Verdict:
Several potentially group-class colts on show, headed by Bombyx. He still looked rough around the edges when runner-up in a decent conditions race at Newbury last month and there should be plenty more to come from the son of Sir Percy now faced with a stiffer test. Highbrow is an obvious danger on the back of his fine reappearance effort, while Aspetar and Main Street are both very promising.

4.20 Thames Materials Bulk Excavations Handicap (2) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
116 3. GEORGE BOWEN Richard Fahey Sebastian Woods (5)
110p 5. SPARKALOT Simon Dow Luke Morris
109 4. RAUCOUS Robert Cowell Jamie Spencer

Analyst's Verdict:
Wide-margin winners of big-field York sprint handicaps is a rare sight but George Bowen defied convention when brushing 18 rivals aside on the Knavesmire last week. There's no reason not to take that performance at face value and he will prove very hard to beat if reproducing those pyrotechnics under a penalty here. Sparkalot gets the nod ahead of Open Wide and Solar Flair for forecast purposes.

4.55 thamesmaterials.com Handicap (4) 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
100p 7. IMPHAL Marcus Tregoning Tyler Saunders (7)
99 6. POINTEL James Fanshawe Daniel Muscutt
97 11. I'M A BELIEVER Mick Channon Hollie Doyle

Analyst's Verdict:
Imphal made great strides last season and, judged on his unlucky Ascot reappearance defeat, there could be even better to come from him this season. He is taken to resume winning ways here, perhaps at the chief expense of Pointel, who shaped well on his Windsor comeback and should be suited by this stamina test. I'm A Believer, Gavlar and Uber Cool can do battle for minor honours.

5.25 Thames Materials Charity Golf Day Handicap (5) 5f

Timeform Top Rated:
89 1. CRYSTAL DEAUVILLE Gay Kelleway Cameron Noble (5)
85 9. ELLEN GATES Richard Hughes Shane Kelly
84 2. WIFF WAFF Stuart Williams Joe Fanning

Analyst's Verdict:
The hat-trick beckons for Crystal Deauville, who showed his rivals a clean pair of heels at Bath last week and will again take plenty of pegging back under a penalty. Ellen Gates has found some improvement the last twice and is next on the list ahead of Spanish Star and Maygold.
