Nick Shiambouros returns to the tipping chair with two strong fancies from Aintree...
"I think he is sitting on a big effort and is fairly priced at [4.0] on the exchange"
Balko Des Flos should prove difficult to beat in this high class event.
This smart performer won the Ryanair in great style at Cheltenham last month. He swept to the front on the run to the second last, and pulled clear to win with plenty in hand. This performance was one of the highlights of the Festival and fully expect him to follow up today. At present he is trading at [3.15] on the exchange which is more than fair.
Min heads the market at [2.26] on the exchange. He was firmly put in his place when finishing second to Altior in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham. He lost nothing in defeat, but may not be as effective over this longer trip. His price is very thin to say the least.
Ok Corral is my idea of the winner of this fascinating contest.
This gelding ran a blinder in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham when finishing second to Kilbricken Storm. He ran on strongly on the run-in but could not get to grips with the game winner. This was a much improved effort from this lightly raced individual, and clearly has more to offer. I think he is sitting on a big effort and is fairly priced at [4.0] on the exchange.
Trainer Nicky Henderson saddles the front three in the market and stablemate Santini looks like the main danger. He finished behind the selection at Cheltenham, but is open to further improvement. He currently heads the market at [3.35] on the exchange.
