Timeform pick out three bets from Kempton on Friday evening...
Essaka wasn't seen to best effect over this C&D last time, but still managed to finish a respectable third. He remains well treated on old form, and is fancied to return to winning ways back under a fully-fledged rider. Lady Joanna Vassa is likely to be in the shake-up once again, while Justice Rock, who appeared to win with plenty in hand at Chelmsford eight days ago, is also respected carrying a penalty.
Clairette confirmed debut promise when getting off the mark at Salisbury last month, travelling strongly on the front end from the outset, and keeping on well to score by a length and a half despite hanging left close home. With further improvement likely to be forthcoming, Roger Charlton's charge rates the clear one to beat, with Scandaleuse feared most if improving as expected for the step up in trip.
Melodies shaped encouragingly when second on her most recent outing at Newbury, and that form leaves her well clear of those with previous experience on Timeform ratings here. There are admittedly several interesting newcomers in opposition, including Saving Grace, a half-sister to the smart Lady of Dubai, but Melodies remains open to more progress, and is taken to get off the mark at the third attempt.
