"This stamina test will be right up his street..."

Timeform on Robert's Star

12:25 - Hard to make a compelling case for anything here, but NEETSIDE (3) should strip fitter for her reappearance and she shaped a few times last season as though she's up to winning a race. Silver Sea and Solstice Twilight are perhaps the pick of the opposition.

12:55 - MOABIT(1) progressed nicely over hurdles last season, and should have even more to offer for his top yard. He won a handicap on the Flat in April earlier this year, a strong gallop in testing conditions bringing his stamina out, and he looks the type to kick on again back over hurdles. Paul Nicholls has a good record with such types and he's worth backing to make a winning reappearance.

13:30 - WALT (1) is more experienced over fences than most of his rivals, and just about sets the standard on form. Admittedly, he hasn't been at his best on his last two starts, but he is perhaps better back at this trip, and shouldn't be given up on yet. His mark is a workable one, and this shouldn't take much winning, so he is well worth chancing for a yard who have a good strike rate here.

14:05 - TOUR DE PARIS (5) was fair at best on the Flat for Eve Johnson Houghton, and only ran to a similar level on hurdling/stable debut at Market Rasen 10 days ago. There should be more to come from him in this sphere, however, hailing from a yard that do well with juveniles. This doesn't look the strongest race of its type, and it wouldn't take much more improvement for him to take a hand here.

14:40 - ROBERT'S STAR (5) made an encouraging start to the season when third at Stratford where he was doing all his best work at the finish. This stamina test will be right up his street and he is marginally preferred to another potentially useful chaser in Potters Approach. Shanroe Santos also enters calculations and Doing Fine will merit serious consideration if going to post.

15:15 - The vote goes to KALARIKA (8), who wasn't overly knocked about on her reappearance at Chepstow last month and is expected to benefit from this step back up in trip. Bonza Girl will be a player if fit enough to do herself justice following a 7-month lay-off and Min Tiky is worth considering, for all she has yet to trouble the judge. Sky Full of Stars is another with realistic claims.

15:50 - FILEMON (5) is threatening to come good soon provided he can cut out the errors, shaping much better than the bare result at Warwick. He is expected to prove too strong for Turban, who produced his best effort for some time when winning at Plumpton 2 weeks ago and is feared most.
