Leo Minor is being well-backed at Dundalk this evening

The markets have been reviewed, and today's three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at York, Newton Abbot, and Dundalk...

Recommended Bets

- Back Haworth @ 13.5 in the 13:45 York
- Lay Virgilio @ 2.427/5 in the 15:35 Newton Abbot
- Back Leo Minor @ 3.65 in the 19:00 Dundalk

Let's start up in Yorkshire where the James Bethell-trained Haworth has been well supported from a high of 20.019/1 in to 13.5 in the 13:45 6f Nursery. The son of Showcasing is one of the less exposed juveniles in this 18-runner field and he showed up quite well on his previous run in a similarly competitive nursery at Ayr. The positive market move suggests he has come forward again so it will be no surprise to see him go close today.

Next we go to Newton Abbot where jumps fans get another teaser towards the new season with the intriguing 15:35 2m5f Conditions Chase. Dan Skelton's Virgilio has been easy to back this morning, matched as low as 2.1211/10 but now available at 2.427/5. The seven-year-old would appear to have solid claims given his lofty hurdles rating and he looked good over fences at Warwick when last seen in May. However he does have three solid rivals to deal with, each representing big stables. Paul Nicholls's San Benedeto is two from two over fences while the Philip Hobbs-trained Brother Tedd has a similar profile to the favourite. Add in the race-fit and in-form Vintage Vinnie for Rebecca Curtis and this looks like a very tough heat.

We finish up at Dundalk where it's no great surprise to see Leo Minor is a positive on the exchanges in the 19:00 7f Listed race. Aidan O'Brien's colt is now trading at 3.65 having been available to back at 4.67/2 initially. He looked to be travelling well in a Group 3 at the Curragh on his previous run, but he got no luck in running thereafter and was eased by Donnacha O'Brien late on. This race looks a little easier for the son of War Front and as his trainer said, "the track, trip and surface will suit him."
