It's day two of York's Ebor festival and so all of today's Follow The Money run on the Knavesmire...
We start Yorkshire Oaks day with the 1m Handicap at 15:05 - the Clipper Logistics Stakes - where our each-way selection is Red Napoleon, a morning market mover from 18.017/1 in to 15.014/1. He made a winning start to his career when landing an Irish maiden at Navan last September but couldn't follow up in a tough listed race at York. The four-year-old then moved yards to Ralph Beckett where he justified short odds in a small field over 1m2f back at Navan. He will need to step up again today on his handicap bow but we feel we haven't seen the best of him yet.
We move on to the big race of the day, the 15:40 1m4f Darley Yorkshire Oaks, where our lay of the day is Found, following a drift on the favourite from 2.8415/8 out to 3.39/4. Aiden O'Brien's classy four-year-old has been nothing but consistent at the highest level winning two and coming second seven times. The most notable performance when beating Golden Horn last term in the Breeders' Cup Turf at Keeneland. Today's going at York is officially good to firm and Found hasn't run on ground like this since the 2015 Coronation Stakes at Ascot which could raise concerns. A string of second place finishes hangs over this classy filly and we can't see her breaking the cycle today.
Finally we finish the day in the 16:20 1m4 Listed EDF & Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes where our back selection is To Eternity who has been backed from 8.27/1 in to 6.25/1. John Gosden's three-year-old justified short odds when winning last time out on the all-weather on her first step up to 1m4f. A sister to three decent types including Shantaram, Forever Now and Gan Amhras , that trio all had best RPR ratings of between 111 and 119 which catches the eye. To Eternity is only having her fourth start today, is open to bags of improvement and the booking of Frankie Dettori is another plus.
