Follow The Money: Two backs and a lay across Wincanton and Aintree this afternoon
Welcome to today's Follow The Money. It comes from this afternoon's meetings at Aintree and Wincanton...
Our first selection comes from Wincanton in the 14:15 2m5f Nov Hrd where Present Man has been strongly backed from [2.52] in to [2.2]. He was a runner-up in an Irish maiden point and then went on to win a bumper here in November. Although his last outing was a tame effort, it did come in a listed contest that has produced good winners since. He is trained by Paul Nicholls who has an excellent record in this race having won it three times in the last five years, so Present Man definitely looks the one to beat in this.
Our next selection is our lay of the day. It comes from Aintree in the 14:30 3m1f Hcap Chs where Danimix has drifted from [3.05] out to [3.9]. He is bidding for his hat-trick today after blowing the field away last time out at Chepstow and looks to be in good form since rejoining Peter Bowen's yard. However, he will have to overcome a deserved 10lb penalty today which could prove costly and with a few rivals lurking on dangerous marks themselves this is no foregone conclusion.
Our final selection comes in the feature race at Aintree, the 15:30 Old Roan Chase over 2m4f. Our pick is Buywise who has been backed from [7.8] in to [6.4]. He won on last season's reappearance and went well in a few top handicap races afterwards including fifth in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham. His yard is in good form coming into this and if he can improve on his sometimes shaky jumping then he could go even better today.

Lay Danimix @ [3.9] in the 14:30 at Aintree
