We start today's column at Salisbury

Today's movers come from the meetings at Salisbury and Nottingham.

Since moving to David O'Meara in August, Maraakib has been running consistently, finishing third, second and then fourth at Pontefract 13 days ago. The market support suggests that Maraakib can add to his first success today with stable jockey Daniel Tudhope getting the leg up.

Back Maraakib @ 6.25/1 in the 16:20 @ Nottingham

Back Past Master @ 3.8514/5 in the 13:50 @ Salisbury
Lay Rocksavage @ 3.9 in the 14:10 @ Nottingham

We start the day at Salisbury with the 13:50 1m Maiden Stakes, where Past Master has been backed in to 3.8514/5 from a high of 5.24/1. Henry Candy's colt is having his second start having finished third at Sandown last month over 7f. Four horses from this race have gone on to win since, suggesting that it may have been an above average maiden. This two-year-old by Mastercraftsman was staying on strongly at the end of that race which suggests today's extra furlong should suit and help get Past Master his first win.

Heading to Nottingham for our negative in the 14:10 1m Maiden Stakes, newcomer Rocksavage has noticeably drifted out to 3.9 from a low of 2.3811/8. This two-year-old filly is the 13th foal from the dam Magnificient Style who has an impressive line-up of offspring, including group 1 winners Nathaniel, Great Heavens and Playful Act. Having trained these three runners as well as today's runner Rocksavage, John Gosden must know this family well, and like these previously mentioned siblings Rocksavage looks like she may not be up for winning on debut, making her worth opposing today, with strongly supported Andastra, trained by Ralph Beckett, in opposition.

Staying at Nottingham for the final mover in the 16:20 1m Handicap, where Maraakib has received strong support in to 6.25/1 from a high of 9.89/1. This gelding by Dark Angel has won one race from 10 starts so far in his career, which was a maiden back in October 2014 over 7f when trained by Brian Meehan. Since moving to David O'Meara in August, Maraakib has been running consistently, finishing third, second and then fourth at Pontefract 13 days ago. The market support suggests that Maraakib can add to his first success today with stable jockey Daniel Tudhope getting the leg up.
