The markets have been reviewed, and today' three Follow The Money selections come from the meetings at Bath and Warwick...
Starting at Warwick where Doitforthevillage has been solidly backed from 9.95 in to 6.411/2 for the 2m4f Novice Handicap Chase at 14:45.
Paul Henderson's seven-year-old is yet to break his duck but that might all change this afternoon. The selection should really have got off the mark at Exeter last time out when holding a clear advantage before blundering over the last and then idling in the heavy ground to get caught on the line. However with underfoot conditions more favourable he still makes plenty of appeal getting weight all round on only his third try over fences, and it would be disappointing if he couldn't at least make his presence felt in this open-looking betting heat.
Moving to Bath now and Nuclear Power has been easy to back in the 16:40 5f Novice 2 year-old Stakes, wandering out to a price of 4.03/1 from 3.412/5.
Joseph Tuite's newcomer was an expensive purchase and boasts a well-related pedigree but some market support is usually reassuring with these types so the drift is a worry. The stable is not known for first time out winners and the strong suspicion is that the selection will need this debut experience before showing his true worth, plus there has been money Awesome Allan, from the David Evans yard, who has the benefit of three runs already, so the selection is readily opposed.
Finally to Bath's closing 17:50 6f Handicap in which Inclination has been well supported into 3.65 from 5.04/1.
Clive Cox's three-year-old filly makes her handicap debut off a workable-looking mark of 63 and can come on for her recent run over course and distance last month. She was a creditable third that day and looks open to more improvement for these new connections, with better ground likely to help, a weak contest like this should be well within reach.
Back Doitforthevillage at 6.411/2 14:45 Warwick
Lay Nuclear Power at 43/1 16:40 Bath
Back Inclination at 3.65 17:50 Bath
