Welcome to today's Follow The Money from Uttoxeter, Naas and Kelso...
First up we head to Uttoxeter for our each way selection in the 16:50 two mile handicap hurdle, where Alyasan has seen steady support in to 8.07/1 from an early price of 11.010/1. This five-year-old hasn't set the world alight with his efforts over obstacles so far, however he has won two bumpers on good ground before today. A lightly-raced horse on a very low mark for his handicap debut, and with Richard Johnson doing the steering along with good ground at Uttoxeter, today we feel he is certainly worth an each way bet.
Next we head to Naas where we have our second positive selection in the 15:10 6f listed event. Hakeem is trading at 2.767/4 having started at an initial price of 3.18. This two-year-old colt is having his third start today, and it's his second time over six furlongs. Beaten by the national stakes-winner Global Applause on his debut he then went on fulfill his promise by winning easily by five lengths on quick ground. He looks very progressive horse for the previous British champion flat trainer Richard Hannon Jnr and this looks to be a stepping stone to group races for him.
Lastly we head to Kelso for our negative of the day. Traditional Dancer was trading as low as 1.374/11 and is now out to 1.814/5. Trained by Iain Jardine it's surprising to see this four-year-old being a negative considering the trainer has caught plenty of good attention for his training ability this season. Clearly, by his drift in the market, plenty feel his handicap mark is above him. With the two next in the betting also being supported today we hope this proves significant and we will be laying him this afternoon.
