Today's Follow The Money bets run at the meetings at Exeter and Southwell.
"Tokyo Javilex's trainer, Nigel Hawke, is in superb form with nine winners from 18 runners in March and the support suggests the selection is ready to run to his best after a break."
We start with our first back which comes in the opening race at Exeter - a 2m3f Novices' Selling Hurdle due off at 14:00. Murtys Delight has been positive all morning and can be currently backed at [2.50] in from [2.9]. He won a similar race over the same distance back in January and has not been disgraced in chase handicaps since, including a narrow two lengths defeat at Huntingdon recently. Dropping back to this grade, he has taken the eye and we expect to get off to a winning start. His excellent handler, Dr Richard Newland, has an incredible 45% strike rate in Sellers over the last five seasons for a healthy level stakes profit (£36.82).
We switch codes for our lay at Southwell with their 15:25 6f Handicap. Coiste Bodhar has drifted from [3.6] out to a current price of [4.9]. A winner over course and distance last time out he has been put up 4lbs for that win and with support for Spowarticus, who should get the run of the race, we do not think Coiste Bodhar will enjoy back-to-back victories.
Our second back is again at Exeter with their 15:40 3m Handicap Chase after strong backing for the Tom Scudamore-ridden Tokyo Javilex, who currently trades at [4.1] from an opening show of [9.17]. Tokyo Javilex returns to the same mark as when winning three consecutive races last spring, and the step up in trip has seen the money come in. His trainer, Nigel Hawke, is in superb form with nine winners from 18 runners in March and the support suggests the selection is ready to run to his best after a break.
Back Murtys Delight at [2.50] in the 14:00 at Exeter
Lay Coiste Bodhar at [4.9] in the 15:25 at Southwell
